About

Jessica Poter was born in Northbrook, Illinois, and has been trying to make people laugh ever since. She has studied and performed at places like Upright Citizens Brigade L.A., The Groundlings Theater, and Broadway Theatre Project.  She has a B.A. in Theater Studies from Yale University.

Jessica lives in LA, where she writes and performs in sketches and TV shows. She has been a writer on a bunch of shows, including ABC’s Modern Family, FOX’s Pivoting and HULU/Marvel’s Hit-Monkey. She has developed two pilots for Disney Channel and is always working on more.

She likes musicals… a lot a lot.
